Due to COVID-19 impacts the remaining performances in this season have been cancelled effective from Friday 19 March 2020.

The beeping and buzzing of technology, noisy traffic, the incessant shouting of social media – it never shuts up. Caught in this

This is the starting point for Massive Company’s newest devised work, directed by long-time Massive collaborators Scotty Cotter and Carla Martell.

Babble brings dynamic physicality, inventive imagery, a multilayered musical soundscape, and a formidable cast of 20 young South Auckland voices to the Māngere Arts Centre stage. Drawing on the diverse experiences and stories from their own lives, the performers take us on an uplifting journey through the many interruptions of modern life.

“In our productivity age of perpetual motion, it’s increasingly hard to honour stillness, to build pockets of it into our lives, so that our faith in beauty doesn’t become half-hearted, lopsided, crippled.” — Pico Iyer
