Artworks Community Theatre

Artworks Community Theatre, Te Whare Tapere O Waiheke is a multidisciplinary performing arts hub with a focus on shows that amaze, connect and truly entertain audiences, from dance, comedy and music to theatre.

For Auckland Art Festival 2020, Artworks is one of 10 venues on Black Grace's Verses regional tour.

GETTING THERE
Artworks Community Theatre is located 15 mins walk from the Matiatia ferry terminal or take the bus which stops outside the theatre. The theatre is located behind the library.

Please note: If you are taking the ferry to Artworks from Auckland CBD, please be aware that major roadworks are ongoing in the central city, including on Quay St, and it may take you longer to drive in and find car parking. Please allow extra time to ensure you don't miss your ferry.

The bus stop is located outside the venue.

Several free carparks surround the Artworks complex including accessible parking.

There is no taxi stand, but taxis can be called from the venue and pick up directly outside.
 

VENUE ACCESSIBILITY

The theatre is all on one level. A wooden ramp provides access for wheelchair users.

 
Wheelchair accessible toilets are available.

Assistance dogs are welcome at the theatre
