Hollywood Avondale
Built in 1915, this neo-classical building is the oldest working cinema still showing 35mm films in Auckland.
Under new management since 2015, The Hollywood hosts classic, cult, revival and marathon screenings as well as selected concerts and events.
HOLLYWOOD AVONDALE IS THE VENUE FOR AMANDA PALMER – THERE WILL BE NO INTERMISSION DURING AUCKLAND ARTS FESTIVAL 2020.

Parking Options
No venue parking available. Parking is on surrounding suburban streets.
Please respect our local businesses and do not park in 5 minute zones outside Neelam Superette (22 St Georges Rd) or Super Saver Food Mart (38 St Georges Rd)
Taxi Drop Off
Drop off in 5 minute zone outside dairy next door to Hollywood Avondale. This is a loading zone only and no parking.
VENUE ACCESSIBILITY
The venue has two levels – stalls and circle. Stalls are accessible by a separate entrance. Please notify staff on arrival if you need assistance. There is NO lift to the circle level.
There are wheelchair user positions situated in the Stalls.
The Hollywood Avondale is a historic building and does not currently have wheelchair accessible toilets.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the venue.
